Roots
“Roots” invites contemplation of the deep, intricate network that connects trees through their underground root systems. Set against a gray background that symbolizes the timelessness, stability, and resilience of nature, the work uses green lines and white dots that intertwine to form a living, ever-shifting network. Each white dot connects to another through a green line, representing the continuous flow of support, nourishment, communication, and life among trees that collectively sustain the balance of the ecosystem.
This visual composition explores how nature endures far beyond individual human lifespans, quietly breathing and maintaining its invisible relationships beneath the surface of the earth. The mural emphasizes the importance of understanding that, although we live and die, we remain part of a much larger system in which every element relies on the others to survive, adapt, and thrive. This call to recognize interdependence becomes a visual meditation on the quiet strength found in natural cooperation and shared existence.
