Continuity of Ideas

“Continuity of Ideas” is composed of aluminum mirror reflective elements arranged in a vertical sequence that unfolds across the architecture of the home. Each form functions as a visual unit of thought, suspended in space and connected through rhythm rather than direct contact. The reflective surfaces interact with light and movement, allowing the work to shift throughout the day and suggesting that ideas are never fixed, but constantly shaped by context, reflection, and time. Installed along a transitional vertical axis, the mural transforms circulation into contemplation, turning movement through the space into an act of reading. The work draws from the intellectual life of the family who inhabits the house, for whom books, research, and sustained inquiry are central to daily existence. “Continuity of Ideas” reflects the way knowledge accumulates through dialogue, study, and transmission across generations. Each element becomes a fragment of thought, linked to others through an invisible structure of meaning. Rather than presenting ideas as isolated conclusions, the mural proposes them as an ongoing process, one in which reflection leads to connection, and connection gives rise to continuity.
