Parallel Skyline

“Parallel Skyline” emerges from a dialogue between interior space and the city beyond it. Set against sweeping windows, the mural echoes the vertical rhythm of the surrounding architecture, translating the skyline into an abstract field of relationships. The marks appear to rise and scatter like buildings seen from shifting perspectives, creating a visual cadence that feels both ordered and fluid. Light plays an essential role, casting shadows that extend the composition onto the floor and walls, allowing the city, the artwork, and the viewer to momentarily occupy the same visual plane. What is outside and what is inside begin to mirror one another. The title “Parallel Skyline” speaks to coexistence rather than imitation. The mural does not replicate the city’s form but runs alongside it, tracing a parallel logic rooted in connection and proximity. Each element contributes to a collective structure that feels expansive yet intimate, reflecting how individual lives unfold within shared environments. As the viewer moves through the space, relationships shift and align, much like the experience of navigating an urban landscape. The work invites contemplation of how we inhabit cities not only physically, but psychologically, reminding us that even in vastness, connection persists. Miami, USA 2021 Location: Private residence
